On 17th and 18th June 17, the second monitoring meeting of the LIFE PRIORAT+MONTSANT project was carried out by the LIFE monitor with the presence of all partners working on the project (VITEC, DO Montsant, DOca Priorat, Lavola and PTV) . During the first day, the progress of the project was presented, both in the vineyard and in the winery, as well as all the communication actions carried out during the period under review. In order to show these advances at first hand to the monitor, different visits were carried out, the first to Mas Anguera winery of Falset, belonging to the DO Montsant, in order to see the actions in the winery regarding the minimization of energy and water and of environmental footprint, and the second, in two vineyards. In the first vineyard, located in Falset (DO Montsant), an experimental vineyard of Red Grenache to show the control of the Downy Mildew and, in the second vineyard, in Porrera (DOca Priorat), a weather station and an experimental vineyard of Cariñena for the control of Powdery Mildew were shown.
The next day, the visit ended, and all the administrative tasks were carried out. The monitor met partner by partner to review the economic and administrative part of the project and also took the opportunity to ask questions of a technical nature that were emerging.
